I have a little problem - updated

This mornin’ brought terrific news.  fmprof has has agreed to open her heart and home to the little girl-cat.

I've never been a very social person, and I've always had a hard time asking for help.  I'm happiest when I'm alone in my ‘yak on a river ten miles from the world or in my shop doing stuff that no one but me understands.  I grew up on an East Texas cow farm.  The nearest town was North Zulch and it wasn't much of a town, just a post office, a store and a school with about a 150 kids from th e first grade through the 12th. I don't dislike people I just    never was around enough of ‘em to get used to it and people sorta scare me.

I came to this community ‘cause I can listen to people talk about stuff without gettin too involved.  For me the internet was a kinda buffer — till yesterday.

The concern, caring, kindness, and unhesitating generosity this community showed for a little cat has shredded my buffer completely.

Because I don't have much practice at it I can't really tell y’all what I feel — just know this — I will never forget what the hearts of Dkos have done for Lexie and I will never be the same for it.

To borrow a thought from Joy of Fishes — Dkos is where Angels blog.
